Eòghann Mac Colla

Individual

Eòghann Mac Colla is a visual artist interested in mapping time in place and connection across disciplines. His practice leans into archipelagic doctrine as a means to link place and people through the past, present and future. There is an activism within his practice and he welcomes collaboration and còmradh, dialogue. Born in the Highlands, his paternal Gaelic-speaking family from Argyle influences his work as does his maternal family with their connections to Kintyre and Ayrshire. Eatorra, between them. He is the freelance co-ordinator for the Clyde Bioregion Residency Programme for Arran and Cumbrae. Leading the co-design and co-curation of the pilot programme, supported by Creative Scotland’s Culture Collective and working with North Ayrshire Council’s Place Partnership.
